How do you take text and bring it alive? How do you find the character? How do you get from pretending to being? Having a clear and accurate understanding of the text and knowing how to break it down and build it back up is essential for any actor's preparation. Otherwise you are simply reciting words from a page.

This Lab will ask that you challenge yourself as an actor. From seeing the scene for the first time to finding the world in the words, through rehearsals and beyond, the evolution never stops.

This Lab will cover:

• How to approach text
• Character
• Finding the through line
• Rehearsing and keeping it fresh
• Staying connected
